Shakira [ tickets ]'s fall tour plans continue to develop with the addition of several new dates on the heels of the initial batch announced earlier this month. The trek now features.
A new launch date, Sept. 17 in Uncasville, CT, and at the moment looks to close Oct. 29 in Chicago. Newly added shows include appearances in Dallas (10/1); San Antonio, TX (10/2); San Diego (10/15), Oakland, CA (10/22)
And Anaheim, CA (10/25), in addition to the aforementioned Tickets for all dates except the New York City (9/21) and Houston (10/8) shows, which are on sale now, and the Oct. 23 Los Angeles--which sold out in 24 hours, according to a press release--go on sale May 14. Dates are included at right.
The singer continues to support last year's "She Wolf," her sixth studio album and third English-language title. The set peaked at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, and has reached gold or platinum status in several Latin American countries and Spain.
"Gypsy," the album's most recent single, hit radio airwaves in February. The video for the song, lensed by longtime Shakira collaborator Jaume De Laiguana, features the pop singer cavorting with Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal.
"Shooting this video with Rafa was a great experience, he is very sweet and made it easy and fun," Shakira said in a statement. "He and I have so much in common--starting out so young in our respective careers and traveling the world--I felt this would translate the spirit of the lyrics in the song and I was thrilled he wanted to be a part of it."
