On Monday night, Shakira and a group of nine friends including her boyfriend, FC Barcelona soccer player Gerard Pique, arrived at Zuma around midnight for a late dinner. The couple, says our source, were extremely “lovey-dovey.” After dinner, which lasted until 2 a.m. (!), the group then went to work it off, dancing up a storm at Mokai with local promoter Dan the Man, spraying jeroboams of Moet Rose champagne over the crowd. Says our snitch, “Shakira and Gerard really couldn’t keep their hands — and mouths — off one another.” Also there that night: Marlins players Mike Stanton and Ricky Nolasco, who, we’re told, spent the night (and money) “popping bottles.”
The next night, Pique was seen sans Shakira at Kane Steakhouse before joining his significant other at Wall, where the two were “unafraid of public displays of affection,” says our source. The couple partied into the early hours before Pique accompanied Shakira to Miami International Airport, where “they canoodled in the car park” before she boarded her flight to Cancun.
Hey Monday’s lead singer and Pete Wentz protégé Cassadee Pope, 21, is being sued, along with Sony Music, for $50 million. The lawsuit, filed by South Florida firm The Ticktin Law Group, alleges that Pope ditched the husband and wife promoter team, Dominick and Tammy Centi of South Florida-based Driven Productions, breaching her contract, among other charges.
