COLOMBIAN blonde bombshell Shakira has revealed that her boundless energy, which sees her singing and dancing continuous for hours at her live concerts, is the result of 'vitamins of love' from her current boyfriend and Barça player, Gerard Piqué.
The 34-year-old pop-rocker, who released her first hit album at the bid age of 19 and has been topping charts worldwide ever since, says: When I'm happy, I have enough energy for anything and correct now, I'm full of energy.
Currently performing live in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, the pint-sized half-Lebanese star managed to watch her boyfriend's match before the concert and was ecstatic at his team's winning the Champions League.
She said before the match that she was 'very nervous'. Asked how she felt at being back in Africa, the continent which saw her 2010 World Cup anthem Waka Waka go straight to number one in a number countries, Shakira says it is bringing her back 'marvellous memories', and that her childhood in her native Barranquilla (Colombia) taught her to 'love and live with African culture'.
She also had words of admiration for Moroccan women, 'whom we can learn a lot from', and for Arab music, which has influenced some of her own tracks, including Ojos así, in which Egyptian veteran pop singer Amr Dhiab sung the backing vocals, and which was released in English as Eyes like yours.
Shakira Mebarak Ripoll, daughter of a Lebanese-born New Yorker and a Colombian mother of Catalán descent, grew up on Colombia's Caribbean coast and is the patron and founder of the Fundación Pies Descalzos ('Bare Feet Foundation' named after her 2007 album and its title track, which provides education for children in Colombia.
She once famously denounced the fact that over three million children in Colombia did not go to school, meaning they had little future ahead of them.
